Today was Glenn’s official first day of retirement. No getting up at 8am to go and sign in at work, no worrying about clients or emails, quotas or deadlines. Just a nice sleep in, breakfast, an appointment with the eye doctor, doing tai-chi at Lake Merritt, followed by a nice walk around the lake and finishing our excursion with a celebratory lunch downtown. Coming home started with an afternoon siesta (with Mexico in our minds), a bit of house organization to determine what to sell and what to keep. We will have dinner in (we don’t have a paycheck anymore) and kick back for a comfortable evening and then call it a day around 11pm. Not bad for a first day. Now just wondering what we will be doing for the next thirty years.
