When Lady Zen arrives in San Miguel de Allende it is a very special moment for all of us!! We cannot seem to get enough of her. And to our delight, she comes often.
Glenn and I first saw Lady Zen after our arrival at our new home base of San Miguel De Allende, Mexico in 2018. She made such a mind-blowing impact on us that we have made it to all of her performances since, as long as we are in town. Who was this powerhouse that we had never heard of before?
Well, Lady Zen is truly a consummate entertainer with a big heart and an even bigger voice. We always come out of the theater feeling a bit richer than when we went in.
With a background in gospel and opera now mixed with soul, jazz, R&B, and the blues she belts out or softens the tunes she has chosen for each night’s performance and is perfectly in sync with the message of the lyrics. At times you can be found rocking in your seat then eventually you stand up and dance at it while doing some alleluia clapping and raising of your hands as she definitely brings down the house and always leaves you wanting more.
Lady Zen has an interesting life story that comes out in bits in her performances and really makes you connect with her. She doesn’t put on airs, she is absolutely her own bonafide true self and that is very refreshing. And no one rocks gold lame as Lady Zen can! Cause it is all about the attitude, Baby!!
If you are new in town or simply haven’t been to one of her performances make sure you grab tickets as soon as they go on sale and skedaddle over to her next performance and have your own Ah-Ha moment.

I LOVELOVELOVE Lady Zen! Wtih her big soulful voice, her authentic presence and expression, her love of entertaining, Lady Zen is everything I could want in a true artist. I will make every concert of hers that I can. I love how she leaves the audience wanting more!
Hopefully we can all go see her together in April.
Thanks Ria…we just saw Lady Zen last night and she was spectacular! On thing I have begun to look forward to at her performances is the guest performer she has join her. Last night was no exception. She and Dwight had us literally rockin in the aisles!!
