Wrapping up 2017!

December 31, 2017

It has been a full year with so many changes!!! The big downhill slide of the country started in January with the inauguration of someone bound and determined to to destroy what we love most about the USA. We participated in the amazing and joyful Women’s March and got psyched for change. But this change is slow in coming and being thwarted at every turn. All of this turmoil just reinforced our desire to move south of the border and escape the rat race and divisiveness. We got married in May and started a new life of adventure together. We made the huge decision to sell the house and get rid of everything we owned to make a fresh start unencumbered by a lot of stuff. We want the freedom to adjust to what life throws at us and be location independent. Glenn retired a few weeks ago at the age of 56. That is scary but exciting, and it means we have a long life ahead of us to do what we most want, to travel, explore and live a simpler, less stressed existence. We have made lots of plans, and can’t wait to find out if they all come to fruition. We are going to ease into the New Year with a private cerebration at home. Our last one in the USA for awhile, and the last one in our beloved house, so it is bittersweet. We look forward to 2018 though and its coming new growth and experiences for us. Whatever happens in the New Year, we wish all of our friends, family and you our readers the best of wishes for a fabulous 2018! let’s all see what happens.

What big change happened to you in 2017 and how does that affect your plans for 2018? We would love to have you share.

Wow, Glen, you beat me by a year. I retired back in Jan 2008 at the ripe young age of 57. 8^)
